Heatherslaw Corn Mill, (John Murphy) Ford Village, Cornhill-on-Tweed
Tel: 01890 820338. For the last 25 years, the Heatherslaw Corn
Mill has been open to the public as a working museum producing
wholemeal flour from local wheat. Situated next to the River
Till, it has been the site of a mill for over seven hundred years
and the corn mill still uses traditional techniques. About 8
miles east of Coldstream.

A 15 gauge railway which runs from Heatherslaw Mill to
Etal Village. About 7 miles east of Coldstream.

inhabited castle in Scotland, home to the Duke and Duchess of
Roxburgh and their family. Spectacular State rooms filled with
priceless European paintings, tapestries and furnishings. Coffee

Kelso Abbey, in the care of Historic Scotland. Ruins of the west
end of the great abbey church built in 1128 by the Tironesian
monks from France. Only fragmentary remains after its repeated
destruction by the English, but still an impressive structure.

The Hirsel, Coldstream Tel: 01890 882834. The Country Park is
open all year during daylight hours and provides an excellent
location for a family day out. Lakeside and river walks provide
a glimpse of Douglas pedigree Highland Cattle and many forms
of wildlife on the lake. There is a Museum and Arts and Crafts
Centre, Cottage Tearoom and Crafthouse Gallery. There is also
a small children's play area and picnic site. About 2 miles north
of Coldstream.
