South Stack Cliffs, Nearest

reserve comprises of two large areas of heathland, offshore stacks
and caves and two blocks of farmland. A wide variety of birds
and other flora and fauna can be seen, with the best time to
visit being spring and summer. Opening times - The RSPB reserve
is open year round; Ellins Tower, the RSPB visitor centre, is
open from Easter to mid-September.About 2 miles west of Holyhead.
Beaumaris Castle, Anglesey. Tel: 01248 810361. Beaumaris is the
great unfinished masterpiece. Started in 1295, it was the last
of the massive Edwardian fortresses of the 13th century to be
built in North Wales, but money ran out before the fortifications
reached reached their full height. It is still regarded as the
finest Welsh castle. It is the most technically perfect castle
in Britain, with a symmetrical concentric "walls within
walls" design that was state-of-the-art for the 13th century.

Tel: 01407 840440. This country park is situated in the heart
of Anglesey and offers families an insight into the workings
of a farm. There are sheep shearing and sheepdog demonstrations,
as well as the opportunity to help feed lambs at Easter. There
is also falconry, a duck display and stable block and both indoor
and outdoor children's play areas.. About 14 miles east of Holyhead.
