is the finest and best preserved 13th century fortified manor
house in England. It nestles in peaceful countryside near the
Welsh border, with its timber framed Jacobean gatehouse and the
nearby Parish Church. The Great hall still retains its original

imagine its medieval splendour. About 12 miles north east of
Knighton.
