The National Wetland Centre
Wales. Located on the Ramsar site of the Burry Inlet, WWT's innovative
centre at Llanelli is at the frontend of wetland conservation
in Wales. Its newest feature is the Millennium Wetland complex,
home to wildlife as diverse as dragonfly and Little Egret. www.wwt.org.uk.
The National Wetland Centre Wales is situated 1 mile east of
Llanelli and 5 miles north west of Swansea.
Millennium Coastal Park, Llanelli. 22km of industrial and derelict
coastal plain turned into a major centre for dozens of different
leisure activities. The smooth, flat cycle track has been described
by Sustrans as "one of the finest stretches of the whole
National Cycle Network". Location: On the outskirts of Llanelli.
