Brackley. Brackley is an attractive market town situated in
rural South Northamptonshire, on the River Great Ouse. It is
about 7 miles northeast of Junction 10 of the M40, about 8 miles
east of Banbury, 8 miles north of Bicester and 6 miles west of
Buckingham. Historically a market town based on the wool trade,
it was built on the intersecting trade routes from London to
Birmingham (and the general north of England) and Cambridge to
Oxford. Brackley is close to the A43 road, which now bypasses
the town, linking it to Towcester and Northampton to the east

Corby. Corby in Northamptonshire has grown rapidly into
an industrial town. It is located on the A427, about 6 miles
north of Kettering, 10 miles west of Oundle and 8 miles east
of Market Harborough. Corby grew as a steel town but this industry
went into decline in the 1980s, and big names including Weetabix

Daventry. Daventry is located about 6 miles west of Junction
16 of the M1 Motorway, on the A45. It is about 8 miles south
of Rugby and 10 miles west of Northampton. The area is famous
for its historic houses including Althorp, home of the Spencer
Family. Daventry's central location makes it an ideal touring
base for many attractions with Silverstone, Stratford-upon-Avon,
Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and the Cotswolds
all within easy reach.

Kettering. Kettering is a town in Northamptonshire, whose economy
was built on the boot and shoe industry. It is located on the
A14, about 7 miles north of Wellingborough and 10 miles northeast
of Northampton. Wicksteed Park was one of the first Leisure Parks
in Britain, and attracts over half a million visitors a year.

Northampton. Northampton is situated at a crossing of major road
routes, aswell as having excellent rail links and waterways.
It is located on the A508, about 2 miles north of Junction 15A
of the M1. It is about 8 miles southwest of Wellingborough and
10 miles southwest of Kettering. Northampton grew up as an industrious
and prosperous city and much of its prosperity was based on shoe

Oundle. Oundle is an ancient small market town on the River
Nene in Northamptonshire. It is located on the A605, about 9
miles south of the A1. It is about 12 miles southwest of Peterborough,
10 miles east of Corby and 7 miles north of Thrapston. Oundle
is an interesting town with ancient buildings, intriguing alleyways,
inns and one of the finest churches in the Midlands, St.Peter's,
whose tower and spire form a landmark for miles around. Other

Towcester. Towcester is the oldest town in Northamptonshire.
It is located on the A5, about 5 miles south of Junction 15A
of the M1. It is about 10 miles south of Northampton, 12 miles
northwest of Milton Keynes and 10 miles north of Buckingham.
Central Towcester is a designated conservation area. Set in the
beautiful surroundings of Lord Hesketh's private estate, Towcester

Wellingborough. Wellingborough is situated on the hills adjoining
the flood plain of the River Nene. It is located on the A509,
about 6 miles south of Kettering, 8 miles northeast of Northampton
and 17 miles northwest of Bedford. Wellingborough is mentioned
in the Domesday Book and was granted a market charter in 1201.
Wellingborough School was founded in 1595 and is one of the oldest
schools in the country.
