The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces Museum, Browning Barracks,
ALDERSHOT, Hants GU11 2BU. Tel: 01252 349619. The history of
those who fought as part of Airborne Forces is realistically
portrayed in their Museum in Aldershot. The Museum is located
in Browning Barracks, Aldershot just off the A325 Farnborough
– Farnham Road and easily recognised by the Dakota aeroplane
in front of it. Location: About 8 miles east of Odiham.
Farnham Castle, Castle
Hill, Farnham, Surrey GU9 0AG. The keep is managed by English
Heritage and is open to the public. Long a residence of the wealthy
bishops of Winchester. Charges apply. About 7 miles east of Odiham.
The Basingstoke Canal Towpath Trail is a permissive footpath
which stretches 33½ miles from Penny Bridge to its junction
with the River Wey at Woodham. Passes the outskirts north of
Odiham.
