19th century lifeboat station on the east end of the quay is
still as it was when the last serving crew shut the door in 1974.

Island from Poole or Sandbanks. Bars and drinking areas on all
our boats. The least expensive crossing is from Sandbanks which
incidentally is the original route taken by Lord Baden Powell

Poole Quay. Poole Quay offers a bustling atmosphere, restaurants,
cafes and pubs. On the lively Quayside is the Poole Pottery factory
shop, and plenty of excellent places to eat and drink. Enjoy
the 18th Century architecture and the cobbled streets. Building
