This unique Italianate seaside village was built by Sir Clough
Williams-Ellis from 1925-72, and made famous by TV series "The
Prisoner". It is surrounded by the lovely Gwyllt woodland
gardens containing rare Himalayan flowering trees and other exotics.
About 3 miles east of Porthmadog.

gauge trains run a 13 1/2 mile main line in miniature from the
coastline at Porthmadog into the mountains at Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The Lloyd George Museum, Llanystumdwy, Criccieth, Gwynedd LL52
0SH - Tel: 01766 522071. Discover the life and times of David
Lloyd George in the Museum and Highgate, his boyhood home. Highgate
has been recreated as it was when Lloyd George lived there between
1864-1880 as well as his uncle's shoemaking workshop. You can
also enjoy the Victorian cottage garden. About 6 miles west of
Porthmadog.

long-established full working woollen mill with shop, where visitors
can view the entire manufacturing process from raw wool to the
finished product. About 4 miles north of Porthmadog.
