St Clears attractions Dylan Thomas Boathouse, Dylan's Walk, Laugharne, SA33 4SD. Tel: 01994 427420. Laugharne was the home of Dylan Thomas and the Boat House (where he wrote Under Milk Wood) is now a Heritage Centre of world repute. He and his wife Caitlin are buried in the local churchyard. Unfortunately this venue is unsuitable for wheelchair access but the Writing shed can be viewed from the pathway. www.dylanthomasboathouse.com. About 4 miles south of St Clears.

St Clears attractions Museum of Speed, Pendine, Carmarthenshire, SA33 4NY. Tel: 01994 453488. The sands at Pendine are used for land speed attempts and racing. The museum, which opened in 1996, exhibits record breaking vehicles. Gift shop. Car parking available nearby. Wheelchair access. About 7 miles south west of St Clears.
